For more than two decades, I held senior marketing and general management positions at data-driven, consumer-focused, technology businesses in the US and Europe.
My focus has been on educating the market on increasingly sophisticated shifts in online behavior, and the rich trend data and "discovery" that comes of it.Ā
From serving as āChief Shopperā at eBay two decades ago and sharing online shopping tips via the media, to launching the online fashion aggregator ShopStyle in Europe, and leading the development of an early AI shopping application called "The WantList," I've been on the forefront of innovation.
Today I'm focused on the data privacy implications of the innovation developed over the past 20+ years, as well as, how we all should consider AI as it begins to enter our day-to-day lives.
I'm optimistic about the future and all that technology innovation can, and will, bring. What I'm less bullish about is how disconnected most of us are from what's being created.Ā
AI is largely built on the back of our data and we need to have more of a say in how it's extracted and used.
So my mission is to help spread the word that a better future for everyone ā individuals and companies alike ā comes of a more equal exchange.Ā
